Fleece Backing for Better Bonding

The flooring includes a spun polyester fleece backing that is mechanically attached during manufacturing. This backing helps the flooring bond securely to porous wood surfaces such as plywood subfloors commonly used in van conversions.

For best results, use Alpha Systems 3080 TPO Flooring Adhesive or compatible TPO flooring adhesive.

Installation Instructions

For proper installation, use Alpha Systems 3080 TPO Flooring Adhesive or an approved equivalent.

1. Make sure the surface is clean and free of dirt, oil, dust, moisture, or other contaminants.
2. Apply adhesive using a brush, roller, or trowel.
3. Apply adhesive to one surface at approximately 16–20 mils thick.
4. Mate the flooring to the surface as soon as possible. Approximate open time is 5–10 minutes.
5. Use a 70 lb linoleum roller or equivalent to apply even pressure across the flooring.
6. Ensure the adhesive properly penetrates into the fleece backing.
7. Immediately after rolling, mechanically fasten the perimeter of the TPO flooring.

Professional installation is recommended for best results, especially when trimming around wheel wells, cargo tie-downs, floor vents, cabinetry, and van-specific contours.
